Yes.
30 seconds of work.
Can land you 3 interviews.
The craziest part is it’s so simple.
Just do this:
Change all your role titles on your LinkedIn to the role you're targeting and add it to your headline.
You then only want to highlight responsibilities that align with the responsibilities needed to do your target job.
For example, if you're applying to a Content Marketing role, but your previous role was a growth role, change it from growth to content marketing and only list content marketing responsibilities.
This is a stronger narrative (and still true so long as you actually had content marketing responsibilities).
A Relentless member got a “huge response” from recruiters and “3 interviews” in 1 night by doing this.
Here’s why this works so well:
On LinkedIn, recruiters find talent by looking up the role title they're trying to fill. The more frequently that title appears in your experience or your headline, the more likely you are to show up on their search and ultimately seem like a good fit when they review your LinkedIn.
Of course, this strategy only works if you have done roles (and responsibilities) which have some relationship to your target role (and responsibilities).
If your target role has 0 relation to anything you’ve done in the past, it might make sense to shift your job search strategy to focus on a role that does.
When combined with an outbound email strategy (I’ve written about many like this), you’ll end up with interviews, abundance, and offers paying you more than you thought possible.
That same member emailed me the other day saying this:
P.S. .. if you’re looking for a new role, consider applying to Relentless here.
